Native Instruments releases Stem Creator Tool to the public

The public beta version of Native Instruments' Stem Creator Tool has now been released.

Users can now create Stems files from their own tracks, a format that allows DJs to individually control four musical elements of a single track, such as the bass, drums, keys and vocals.

The tool, available on both Mac and Windows, asks artists to import four separate audio files that it will then compress into a high-quality file.

Each Stem can be individually controlled when mixing, as long as you have the right equipment, allowing for what Native Instruments calls "creative mixing."
