Native Instruments extends Stems support in Traktor Pro update
Stem View has been incorporated into the DJing software
Native Instruments has released an update for its Traktor Pro software that enables all users to utilise the split-track Stems format while mixing.
A colour-coded Stem View has been integrated into Traktor Pro, making any Traktor setup or mapped third-party controller capable of individually manipulating the isolated track components to create new mixes, mashups, instrumentals and a cappellas.
The multi-track mixing capabilities of Stems have already received support from revered industry figures, including Carl Cox who said: "When I play Stems, my creativity as a DJ goes up through the roof.”
To ensure DJs can get experimenting with Stems right away, the Germany company has made 65 Stem tracks available for free from its website, while partnering online stores such as Beatport, Juno and Bleep are offering 25 per cent discounts for one week only.
Stem View is also available on the free Traktor demo for any DJs who do not use the software but want to test out the new function.
