NAAFI in The Lab NYC

Featuring the founding members of Mexico's leading bass music collective

The Lab NYC is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly afterwork party where we stream the best American and international DJs from the intimate space connected to our Brooklyn office. This week Mixmag is excited to welcome the NAAFI crew in The Lab NYC on Wednesday.

In preparation of Mexican Independence Day, Mixmag has the honor of being joined by the NAAFI crew for a bass music excursion. Initially launched in 2010 as a party series in Mexico City, NAAFI has grown to become much more than just your average artist collective. Co-founded by Alberto Bustamante (Mexican Jihad), Fausto Bahía, Lauro Robles (LAO) and Paul Marmota, the crew still throws the best events south of the border, but now also operate a forward-thinking record label and brand that’s home to their distinctly experimental sound.

The upcoming session in The Lab NYC will feature the core four original NAAFI members and DEBIT as they take to the decks to showcase their genre-bending ethos. As leaders of the next wave of bass music that’s creeping up from the underground, they guarantee an earth-shattering experience. Expect the unexpected as these artists are known for pushing the boundaries and exploring a multitude of rhythms.

The Lab NYC is strongly powered by Void Acoustics. Subscribe to Mixmag TV and watch NAAFI's exclusive set in The Lab NYC below.
