Mutual Rytm celebrates second anniversary, shares 30-track boxset vinyl

A further six digital bonus tracks are available, too

Mutual Rytm has launched celebrations for its second birthday by sharing its 20th release by sharing a carefully-curated vinyl boxset, 'Federation Of Rytm III'.

Across the hefty 30 tracks, contributions from names both established and emerging can be found, including Blawan, ANNĒ, Gary Beck, Dax J and LDS. Those who purchase the digital edition can access a further six bonus tracks, too.

Totalling 36 cuts, the tracklisting is deliberate by founder SHDW, assembling it in a "sequenced journey" for a "versatile listening experience".

"It's truly remarkable how quickly the past two years have flown by since the launch of my label," SHDW tells Mixmag. "As we celebrate our second anniversary with the unveiling of our 20th release, a compilation featuring a number of legends and some of my lifelong role models, I am filled with immense gratitude. It is with great pride that I reflect on what the label has achieved in this relatively short period of time.

"The music on the label authentically reflects my deep musical passions. Working closely with artists from different generations, I am inspired by the unique musical journeys that each of them takes. The unfolding creativity of these artists keeps me motivated and constantly inspired, pushing both myself and the label's sound to evolve. Above all, my dedication to aesthetics compels me to pursue a distinctive sound defined by excellent, innovative production and creative craftsmanship."

2024 marks the first year of SHDW's solo endeavour, having previously worked under the duo SHDW & Obscure Shape. Although he describes time as "more limited", he says to feel greater artistic freedom, and is set to share his first solo productions. On the label side, Mutual Rytm is set to release more music this year, with "label nights" also promised.
