Move D

The German maestro digs deep...again

Anyone who's seen Move D play will know how what an incredible selector he is and he's easily one of the best in the business when it comes to eclecticism.

His vinyl picks come in the form of impeccable house cuts, forgotten soul and disco classics and the odd sprinkling of techno and acid for good measure. When you see him play you can expect a lot of groove, a big smile and maybe a glass of red wine on the side.

When he dons his producer's hat, he also excels and tracks like 'To The Disco 77', 'Got2B' and more recently 'Taps Off For Glasgow', which he made in collaboration with Gerd Janson, always hit the sweet spot.

His latest arrives as part of 'A Tribute To Klang Club Vol.2' and he joins the likes of Fred P and Christopher Rau for an amazing compilation EP. We've got the first play of 'Rise!' and it's another classic slice of David Moufang.

The murky, dusty cut kicks off with pretty demonic bells before delicate and intricate percussion trickles in. It doesn't stray too far from that path aside from the introduction of some well-placed snares and staggered kicks.

More brilliance from the master and to be honest that's exactly what we were expecting.

*'A Tribute To Klang Club Vol.2**' will be released on September 29 via Unclear Records*
