The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Coors Light's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party.

This week we welcome Mike Shannon onto the decks to immerse us in hour of deep techno and rapid-fire mixing.

The Canadian artist stands out among his country’s finest dance music talents, playing lauded sets across the globe, releasing albums through labels such as Plus 8 and Force Inc., and curating and contributing to the renowned imprints he founded, Cynosure and Haunt. Across his varied career he’s never shied away from experimentation, traversing multiple production styles, even moving to Chile for a time to work in the sphere of downtempo sounds.

He’s also involved in Blue Fields, a collaborative group with guitar player Takeshi Nishimoto and vocalist Fadila, which sees the trio combine to create otherworldly sounds. Prepare to be blown away when their second album lands on January 29. This will be followed by the 'Cynosure Focal Point V' compilation in late February, which features collaborations with Mathew Jonson, Dewalta, Vilod and more. Two projects that highlight Shannon’s extensive musical range.
