Miami’s Mansion and Grand Central are set to close their doors by the end of the year

Miami will soon be losing some of its premier nightclubs

Two major clubs that are well known on the nightlife circuit have announced that by the end of the year, their doors will be closing. Mansion Nightclub, a staple in the South Beach world, has revealed that in the coming weeks, they will release a final closing date. Icon Hospitality had originally planned to close the venue as early as this weekend, but has since planned to postpone the final weekend.

It might not be too far fetched to say that Mansion's many known tussles between its scheduled talent and flashy bottle service culture may have had a role in the club's closing. How can anyone forget Deadmau5 putting the club's patrons on blast, posting tweets calling out the VIP area and vowing never to play there again?

Additionally, Grand Central plans to close on September 26, just over five years after it first opened. This venue's imminent loss seems to have struck the community a little harder, since it offered an affordable and different option to Miami's typical nightlife landscape.

We'll be sad to see these venues go, but who knows? Miami always has something new in store.
