MasterSounds’ new four-channel rotary mixer is a piece of analog beauty

UK company MasterSounds has unveiled its latest boutique rotary mixer produced in collaboration with UnionAudio.
The Radius 4 is a hand-built, analog rotary mixer featuring two more channels than the previous, compact Radius 2 model. Each channel has a master EQ/isolator, hi-pass filter, and aux send while the mixer also boasts two backlit VU meters to monitor volume and two mic inputs.
The new model also boasts a new feature that allows users to reconfigure the aux return jacks as a mix buss insert, allowing them flexible FX integration at the press of a button.
The Radius 4 comes just seven months after its predecessor’s release, and was designed, built and tested by Andy Rigby-Jones, the former head of design for Allen & Heath. MasterSounds founder Ryan Shaw’s family also owns the metalworking factory that manufactures the mixers outer casing.
Rigby-Jones said: “The Radius 4’s signal path features pure high-end analogue topology for minimal distortion, low noise floor and high headroom, aided by only using components of the highest quality."
Like the Radius 2, the Radius 4 has been created in collaboration with fellow UK company UnionAudio.
