Lotic announces new EP, 'Sparkling Water'

It features reworks of tracks from her recent album, 'Water'

Lotic has announced a new EP, 'Sparkling Water', which is set for release on July 1, with one track having already dropped.

The forthcoming record includes reworks of tracks from their latest album, 'Water', which was released last year.

Announcing the release on Instagram this week, the producer described the EP as "raw" and "real".

"i wanted to strip back the production from 'water' and put the compositions center stage, featuring bright, sparkling brass," Lotic added in the post.

'Sparkling Water' features original brass compositions, and was recorded at Berlin's JRS Studio.

The first track from the record, 'Always You (Sparkling)' is available now, and is a truly stripped back affair.

Lotic released her debut EP, 'More Than Friends', in 2011, a year before moving to Berlin, where she landed resident DJ sets at Berghain and Chesters nightclubs. In 2018, her debut album 'Power' was released, which reflected upon race, sexuality and gender, followed by last year's 'Water'.

The forthcoming rework EP was left sparse intentionally to contrast with the high production value of 'Water', highlighting brass and composition instead.

Lotic has also announced a plethora of tour dates across Europe, and will be playing countries including France, Belgium, Germany and the UK over the next five months.

You can listen to 'Always You (Sparkling)' taken from Lotic's upcoming album, 'Sparkling Water', now. Check it out here.
