Little Simz announces forthcoming album, ‘NO THANK YOU’

Fans suspect it could land as early as next week

Little Simz has confirmed details of her next record, ‘NO THANK YOU’, which marks the rapper’s fifth studio album to date.

Taking to social media on Tuesday, December 6, Little Simz posted a cryptic message along with the record’s title, ‘NO THANK YOU’, at the end.

“Emotion is energy in motion / honour your truth and feelings / eradicate fear / boundaries are important,” the post reads, with fans speculating the lines of text could be lyrics to a new track from the rapper.

While there’s no confirmed release date just yet, Little Simz left a link to pre-save the record on all streaming platforms with a note to “ready up” for the next release.

Fans noticed that, when pre-saving the album on Spotify, the platform reveals that the record will be added to libraries on Monday, December 12, meaning the record could land sooner than we thought.

In October, Little Simz landed a huge win at the annual Mercury Prize awards for her fourth studio record, ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’, which she made in collaboration with good friend and collaborator Inflo.

“I was feeling all the emotions and really going through it. He stuck by me and pushed me to deliver this album for you guys,” she said while receiving the prize earlier this year.

“Glory to God – God thank you so much; to my family over here, my loved ones right here. I wanna say a huge thank you to the Mercury for this incredible, incredible prize.”

Last week, Little Simz also bagged another win at this year’s MOBO Awards for the same record alongside London rapper Knucks, who won the same award for his recent 13-tracker ‘ALPHA PLACE’.
