Len Faki announces EP, shares new single 'Don't Be Stupid Day'

His latest body of work is available via his imprint Figure

Len Faki has announced his forthcoming EP, 'Fusion EP 01/03' and released its first single, 'Don't Be Stupid Day'.

Available on the Berlin-based artist's label imprint Figure, the track centres around its namesake vocal which layers sonics to form a slow-burning techno chugger.

The single aims to share an insight into what is to come from the innovative techno artist, which will be fully launched by his upcoming EP project, which he described on his Instagram as "part of a huge body of work i have been developing for more than two years".

On the release of 'Don't Be Stupid Day', he continued: "i’m curious about your feedback and thoughts on this track. looking forward to hearing from you and to having you with me on this new adventure we start today."

On the full EP, track 'Hymn (In The Name of Fantasy)' is a contrasting affair which blends delicate, dreamscape melodies with stabs of broken bass before 'Hymn (In The Name of Freedom)' takes over with a nostalgic, intense bass lead with trance-infused synths. Showing a new avenue of Faki's sound, it's a euphoric and uplifting cut.

EP closer 'Tempel' returns to aligning with the artist's production and DJ reputation to tie the EP together and bring it to an end. It layers robust, mechanical percussives, resulting in an evolving sense of urgency throughout, trademark to the identity of a Faki DJ set.
