Leeds' truelove. to bring Optimo all night long to the city
The party is set to take place on September 29 at Sheaf Street
Long-established Leeds event truelove. has announced its forthcoming party, bringing Optimo to the city-centre Sheaf Street.
Taking place on September 29, the iconic Glaswegian duo will be playing the club all night long, reemphasising the ethos of truelove. to bring artists to Leeds who might often be overlooked in favour of bigger-room names.

"Myself and Conor have seen Optimo together countless times over the years and we've long wanted to have them at one of our own events," says co-founder Elliot Holt on the party.
"I was lucky enough to play before them for Limit back in 2019 and have a vivid memory of Jonnie opening the set with Henrik Schwarz - 'Not Also You', so of course I gave him the usual "what a tune" seal of approval. He turned with a grin and a nod and said: "we're gonna have a *** party!" — and indeed we did. An all nighter from them is always special and we're buzzing for more of the same on the 29th."
Founded in 2017, truelove. brands itself as a space to simultaneously provide a platform for local talent, creating a space for likeminded people to "dance and be free".

"It's a passion project with a purist approach, putting quality music in mind first," they continue, alluding to previous bookings including Man Power, John Talabot, HAAi, Dr. Rubinstein and Tia Cousins. "Although at times it has come with its struggles, we steer clear of doing anything for a quick profit or because it might be currently on trend."
Looking forwards, the party plans to be restarting its acclaimed mix series, with forthcoming editions pending from Scott Fraser and Megan Leo.
