Limit announces its debut release, ‘Collective Consciousness’
100% of profits made from the 27-track compilation is being split between three charities, too
Leeds-based underground label and event curators, Limit, has announced a 27-track V/A, entitled ‘Collective Consciousness’.
It drops on January 31, and has been in the works for a year now.
100% of profits made are being split between charities MIND, Women’s Aid and Trees for Cities, with an aim to raise a minimum of £3000 for each respective charity.

“We tried to showcase a diverse mix of artists, friends and extended Limit family,” founder and DJ Matt Bowles explains. “A few names you will recognise: many others, we feel, could be the next ones on the brink of greatness.”
“Every track in this release has something special about it,” he adds, on all of the tunes being unreleased. “We hope everyone else will enjoy the mix of club tracks and at-home listening gems, touching on all corners of electronic music. From ambient, all the way up to 150+ breaks, it showcases a bit of everything we love from artists we love.”
‘Collective Consciousness’ is a showcase of Limit’s evolving sound - showcasing a versatile soundscape, curated specifically to cater for a mixture of club vibes and at-home moods too.

Honouring the last six years in operation, the album’s title is a nod to the label’s value of togetherness: a set of shared beliefs, ideas and moral attitudes which operate as a unifying force.
The cover art is by The AJAM, with the album’s mastering by 1800-Girls.
