L.B. Dub Corp enlists Burial on ‘Only The Good Times’ remix
The 10-minute rework is out now via Dekmantel
L.B. Dub Corp, AKA Luke Slater, has enlisted Burial to take on remix duties of his new track ‘Only The Good Times’.
Cut directly from studio tape master to limited white label vinyl, the double tracker features both an original cut clocking in at four minutes, and an accompanying 10-minute remix from Burial.
The original track is set to appear on a forthcoming album from L.B. Dub Corp on Dekmantel later this month titled ‘Saturn to Home’, an eight-track release featuring the likes of Paul St. Hilaire, Robert Owens, Kittin, and Baal & Mortimer.

“For me ‘Only The Good Times’ is a deeply emotional track. It’s one of those tracks that ended up entwined in love and somehow life-affirming,” Slater says on the release.
“My immediate thought was to get Burial to remix it, not only because he is one of the most entrancing producers ever, but also because of our heartfelt connection and to get him away from his Playstation for ten seconds.”
The story of ‘Only The Good Times’ is built on the “fabled Eindhoven street character Arnol Kox”, a local legend in the Dutch city. Slater recorded Arnol preaching the track’s title, translated from Dutch.

After his passing in 2020, Slater decided to dedicate the track to the late fabled legend as a “heartfelt tribute”. “Thank you Arnol, Will and everyone else connecting to the music,” he said.
‘Only The Good Times’ marks Slater’s first solo release under his L.B. Dub Corp alias in five years. ‘Saturn to Home’, his next album, lands on May 24.
