lAY-FAR - 8/10

We’re well aware of Moscow producer Lay-Far after his brilliant album on Local Talk. And it’s an equally inspired move to hand his track ‘Lock And Rock’ to Mr Scruff, aka Andy Carthy, who’s been carving his own sound by joining the dots between soul, hip hop, ska, funk, house and breaks with his inspiring DJ sets as well as essential releases on Ninja Tunes.

His beautiful remix has subtle sonic nuances and grooving synth lines that remind us what an accomplished producer he is. 8/10
