LAUNDRETTE party at Panorama Bar will donate funds to Israeli and Palestinian victims of violence

Queer party series LAUNDRETTE is coming to Berlin for a marathon party at Panorama Bar on November 24.

Known for its long B3B sets between founders, David Elimelech, Partok and Roi Perez, that span up to 15 hours, LAUNDRETTE swims through Chicago house, tribal drums, rave essence and acid with consumate ease. Joining the trio at the Berlin cultural institution are Rotterdam's Suze Ijó and London's FAFF.

The parties began at Tel Aviv-based Phi Garden club, a communal political space with both Palestinian and Jewish staff. The parties put an emphasis on creating a safe environment for its queer community and marginalised groups, celebrating the shared humanity that transcends borders and political disputes.

This ethos is reflected by the fundraising element of the LAUNDRETTE parties, where a portion of profits from every night has been donated to Palestinian LGBTQIA+ organisations.

LAUNDRETTE's P Bar debut is its first party outside of Tel Aviv and, given the ongoing tragedies in Israel and Palestine, the founders debated cancelling it.

The decision to go full steam ahead was made to uphold its tradition in providing spaces for people to come together during crucial times. LAUNDRETTE has always believed in coexistence and hope for peace, advocating for the safety of all human beings and condemning all acts of violence against civilians.

All profits from LAUNDRETTE will be donated to charity organisations that the group supports, namely Standing Together, Culture of Solidarity and Beit El-Meem. In a statement to Mixmag, LAUNDRETTE said that these charities "all share our goal of pursuing unity and coexistence."

"The funds will directly help survivors and evacuees of the 7/10 massacre, unsheltered Bedouin communities, displaced Palestinian communities due to settler violence, queer Arabs in both Israel and Palestine in need of professional psycho-social counselling and other undeserved groups."

"We sincerely believe in the unifying power of music and we hope this event will be a ground for solace."
