Lange & Kirkwood - 9/10

Following on from his 'Wired to Be Inspired' single, Lange teams up with Scottish newcomer Stephen Kirkwood for his second release on Create Music. Although the bouncy rhythm and deep rumbling bass are a constant, the track takes many twists and turns, featuring a sublime breakdown of pads, plucks and warm bass drones, an early trance-sounding riff, a touch of operatic vocals and – intentionally or not – a nod to Leftfield's 'Phat Planet'. It may have been said many times before, but this is one track that really can be described as "a journey".
