LA music production school ICON Collective launches Woman's Scholarship program
The institute is accepting submissions until August 17, 2018
The Los Angeles-based music production school ICON Collective has announced its first ever Woman's Scholarship. Since opening its doors in 2005, Icon Collective has successfully helped to develop the careers of prosperous alumni such as Bonnie x Clyde, Jauz, Slander and more.
Outfitted with a staff of music industry professionals, ICON Collective helps its students hone their production, arrangement and mastering skills while also assisting them in how to create and navigate a meaningful career in the music business.
According to the music academy, this new and necessary initiative is an effort to extend "opportunities to those whose talents have been historically excluded, despite being absolutely vital to the collective consciousness."
Amongst the applicants, one chosen recipient will receive a $19,000 scholarship to ICON’s flagship Los Angeles Music Production program.
The recipient will also receive a $1,000 gear grant - sponsored by the creative and professional woman's collective Nap Girls - to supplement all their music equipment needs.
ICON Collective is accepting submissions until August 17.
