The Watergate resident delivers an hour of power
La Fleur is a DJ in the ascendant.
The head honcho of Power Plant Records, she first caught our ears with the piano-laden classic 'Flowerhead' and as a resident for Watergate, she recently released two seriously on-point EPs for the club's dance imprint with remixes from Kenny Larkin (the epic 'Nightflow') and more recently Carl Craig, whose took the already-excellent 'Arms Around' and transformed into the Mixmag-endorsed Carl Craig C2 Affected Remix for bigger, darker floors.
So having caught the ear of Sasha with these releases, it was only a matter of time before the Last Night On Earth head honcho would ask La Fleur to collaborate on an EP for his label – and the fruits of that work are now available for everyone to hear.
La Fleur's Last Night In June mix – exclusive to Mixmag – is a deep and trippy one hour sonic adventure with subtle nods to the space age as well as her Last Night On Earth EP, with a slew of tracks that will soothe your ears as well as moving your feet. And since no-one can survive in space forever, the mix comes floating back to earth with the downtempo 'Just' by Bicep.
