KiNK is remixing Fatboy Slim’s ‘Weapon Of Choice’

Marking the first EP from KiNK in three years

KiNK is releasing a remix pack of Fatboy Slim’s 2001 hit track ‘Weapon Of Choice’ via Skint Records.

Dropping on July 2, the new EP from the Bulgarian producer lands two decades after it was released as an A-side along with ‘Star 69’. Featuring US-born Bootsy Collins, the hit track peaked in UK pop charts some 20 years ago.

Now in the hands of techno producer KiNK, ‘Weapon Of Choice’ has been remixed for a three-track EP. The producer's dub mix features on the new record, as well as a half-speed slow mix closing the EP.

‘Weapon Of Choice (KiNK remixes)’ is the Sofia-born producer’s first release since 2018’s 'Leko Remixes', a four-track EP featuring his own spin on his 'Leko' single, as well as remixes from Rachel Row and Session Victim.

“Only KiNK could inject so much soul and warmth into this tune after so many years,” says Fatboy Slim. The DJ brought weekly lockdown mixtapes throughout the pandemic, bringing an hour-long mix every Friday on Youtube.

Fatboy Slim said that the mixtapes were “half for everybody else’s entertainment, half for my own sanity”. Running over the course of 20 weeks, the mixes were highly praised and looked forward to by fans.
