Kenny Dope (Masters At Work remix)

A slice of New York City goodness

Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez is one of the realest producers around. His smooth, bumping New York house has been at the forefront of the scene for 25 years.

His label Dopewax was founded back in 1990 and although it's not been active for a while, it was Gonzalez's main outlet for releasing music throughout his career.

To celebrate his 25th year in the industry, Dope is re-launching Dopewax and like with all of his releases, he's not messing around. Last month he released the track 'Bricks Down' and now it comes backed with a series of pretty massive remixes.

Mr G and Doc Daneeka have impressed with heavy reworks but we were blown away when we saw that Masters At Work had returned for a remix.

Kenny Dope and Little Louie Vega make up Masters At Work, one of the most revered and prolific house duos of all time. If you want a timeless classic to drop in your set, likelihood is, these two will have just the cut for you.

Their remix of Dope's own track is their first production work for ten years and we're thrilled to present it you as a premiere and the edit is everything you want it to be.

It's brimming with groove and oh so sensual and when you factor in Robert Owens' sultry vocals, it's like you've been transported two decades into the past, right back to house music's heyday. Brilliant.
