Karen Nyame KG teams up with Leonce on new single 'Nightryde'

The track is the second single from KG's forthcoming 'RED' EP on her new imprint Rhythm in the City

Karen Nyame KG has dropped new single 'Nightryde', a collaborative effort with Atlanta-based artist Leonce.

The track is a deep and percussive number which features a blend of vocals and rap from KG. 'Nightryde' is the second single from Karen Nyame KG's forthcoming 'RED' EP, which is set to release on November 3.

The British-Ghanian artist has labelled 'Nigtryde' as a "sexy club, sub bass, electronic roller" where she "express[es] desires for my lovers in Atlanta and in London."

"I am an international femme lothario so to speak, cheeky, braggadocious, tapping into my sensuous but street side with a mix between vocals and rap," she added.

The first single, 'P.L.L (Pretty Little Liar)', came out in September alongside the announcement that the DJ and producer will start her own imprint, Rhythm In The City (RITC).

Karen Nyame KG describes RITC as "an extension of my own production signature that embodies a multitude of styles, UK funky, Altè R&B, Afro Altè, gqom, amapiano, Highlife, Afro house."

She added: "The RITC sound is unconventionally rhythmic, a hub for genre-bending, Afro-Electronic music. The label is all about breaking conventions and formulas in electronic dance music."

RITC started out as a "party for the grown and sexy" which KG curated, with the label intended to be a sonic reflection of the event series: full of sounds that "will make you dance, seduce, but better yet, feel."

The Goddess of Rhythm will be bringing her innovative and percussive assemblage of dance music to Peckham Audio this Saturday, celebrating Halloween as well as her upcoming release.
