Kanye West actually was the Creative Director at the Pornhub Awards

Rumours spread earlier this week saying the porn site had asked him

Earlier this week, Kanye was once again making headlines after rumours circulated that Pornhub had offered the rapper to be the creative director for the first Pornhub Awards.

As Vanity Fair revealed, Kanye West ended up taking up the offer and, alongside Wilo Perron, took full creative control of the awards. No surprise, really, as Kanye had previously admitted being a big fan of the pornographic site on Jimmy Kimmel Live and was given a lifetime membership.

The ceremony adopted a futuristic aesthetic, set in the year 6918 and the costumes were provided by YEEZY, Kanye's fashion line. Kanye himself designed the erotica-inspired statuettes which, as described in a press release by Pornhub, "represent imagined alien sex toys.”

Kanye debuted his new song 'I Love It' featuring Lil Pump and previewed a music video directed by the well-known Spike Jonze. Teyana Taylor, who has contributed previously with Kanye, performed while photographer Richard Ken worked on the on the interstitials.

Kanye also released a range of sweatshirts as a part of a new YEEZY Pornhub collection, featuring images of some of the actors like Lena Paul, Mia Malkova, Riley Reid, Abella Danger and Kendra Sunderland, depicted alongside the title of the category they had won, such as 'nicest tits' and 'hottest female ass'.

As always, Kanye's actions raised controversy. Lena Paul, one of the actresses featured in the sweaters, was asked about the compensation she would be receiving from the sales of the merch and responded with "Great question".
