Kallida Festival reveals visual arts programme for 2018 installment

The intimate festival returns this June

Kallida Festival returns this year for another round of immersive art and music experiences, locking in the likes of Daniel Avery, Moxie and Hipsters Don’t Dance for the June weekender.

And once again this year’s edition will feature a strong visual arts curation, bringing a slew of new media artists, engineers and sculptors to the festival site for a fusion of sound, art and style.

Claiming to have “crystallised the concepts behind our indoor spaces”, for this year’s edition of the Hereford festival the visual arts concept has been expanded across the grounds, with a focus on digital art revealed for 2018.

Artists such as Aphra Shemza, Mowgli and Zaron Mizmeras have been confirmed as part of the visual art schedule, while the main club spaces will once again be helmed by Eyesymetric Productions as well as Visua UK.

Kallida has also announced a new collaborative partnership for the forthcoming festival between Diplomats of Sound, Rinse FM, Rinse France, Le Bureau Export and Kallida titled Collision Frequency. Focusing on the musical side of things, Collision Frequency seeks to highlight a selection of global acts, bringing Egyptian artist Rozzma, Franco-Japanese duo Kodäma and Berlin-based Wayne Snow to the UK.

Kallida Festival takes place June 22-24 at Baskerville Hall, Hereford. For tickets and further festival information take a look here.
