Noel Gallagher joins Shaun Ryder-fronted supergroup Mantra of the Cosmos

Gallagher appears on the latest single from the group, ‘Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)’

Noel Gallagher has teamed up with supergroup Mantra of the Cosmos on a brand new single, ‘Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)’.

Gallagher joins forces with the newly-formed supergroup, which originated in 2023 comprising Happy Mondays’ Shaun Ryder and Bez, and former Oasis members Zak Starkey and Andy Bell.

‘Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)’ is set for release this month featuring vocals from Noel Gallagher. The single will be issued exclusively on vinyl, which can only be purchased from Cavern Club in Liverpool - famously the birthplace of The Beatles.

The Shaun Ryder-fronted supergroup will perform two back-to-back shows at Cavern Club on the day of the single’s release – Sunday, January 19.

The track first originated after Gallagher sent a demo to Zak Starkey, son of The Beatle’s Ringo Starr, alongside a text where he called Shaun Ryder “the British Bob Dylan”.

“It’s not every day that the greatest songwriter of my generation – not to mention Shaun, the greatest beat poet of our times – sends a tune to me,” Starkey said (via Rolling Stone).

“Noel loves Shaun,” he said. “He texted me to say: ‘Do you know what you’ve got? The British Bob Dylan’ – and he’s not fucking about because now, I’ve witnessed what Shaun does. Noel calls him the ‘king of lyrics’.”

Speaking on the 2023-formed supergroup, Noel Gallagher described them as “Dylan, Dalí and Ginsberg on a rocketship to the moon to have it with the Clangers.”

The group’s shows at Cavern Club will mark the first time Starkey has performed at the venue despite the fact his dad, Ringo Starr, frequented the club, and even believes he “might have been conceived there”.
