Jessy Lanza and Helena Hauff get a Radio 1 Residency

They join Deadmau5, Eats Everything and Kölsch

Hyperdub artist Jessy Lanza (pictured) and German producer Helena Hauff have landed BBC Radio 1 residencies starting in 2017.

They join new faces Deadmau5, Eats Everything and Metrik, while Kölsch and Will Atkinson return to the fold with Logan Sama who extends his slot.

The Thursday night show will now feature Helena Hauff and Jessy Lanza in the 12am slot on the second and third Thursdays of the month respectively.

Deadmau5 will kick off the new roster on January 5 at 10pm and Eats Everything, who kicks his time off on January 26, says he's over the moon to be included.

“My first actual introduction to dance music was the Pet Shop Boys show on Radio 1 in the very early '90s and I have been listening to Pete Tong since I was 13. So now to say that I might see him in the Radio 1 canteen and perhaps share a cup of tea with him after we have clocked in is mindblowing."

The new residents replace will replace Heidi, Steve Angello, Oliver Heldens, George FitzGerald and Louisahhh.
