Founded in 2006 by Lawrence and Julius Steinhoff, Smallville Records has quickly become one of the best loved imprints on the underground circuit. Now in it’s 11th year, the label based out of Hamburg has hosted some of the best house and techno artists in the world, with people like Move D, Smallpeople, Moomin, Christopher Rau and Arnaldo all releasing sublime EPs. If you could compare the label’s sound with anything, it would be a journey to the stars, with gorgeously emotive house music standing at the forefront. With a striking visual identity that comes courtesy of artist Stefan Marx, Smallville is one of the best sounding and best looking labels around.
