As one of the UK’s long-standing independent record labels, Ninja Tune has released innumerable records since its beginnings in 1990. Launched by trip-hop duo Coldcut, the label has gained much praise for its long-standing ability to release some of the best forward-thinking UK underground music, becoming associated with the likes of Roots Manuva, Mr Scruff and Bonobo. This is a tradition they’ve kept alive and well over the decades, as they’ve fielded recent records from Machinedrum, Romare and Actress.
