Instagram reverses its decision on #EDM ban

Only yesterday Instagram explained why they had decided to block the seemingly inoffensive EDM hashtag, citing that it "was being used to share content that violates our guidelines around nudity".

Now, just one day later, the ban has been lifted. Music blogs and sites all over the web are reporting that the hashtag is far from blocked; over 11 million images using the "banned" #EDM currently reside on Instagram.

Exactly why this has happened is unclear and Instagram is yet to comment on the reversed decision.
