Ravers knock on stranger's door at 6:AM asking for a lift home
They said it was “the police’s duty of care” to take them home
Two revellers knocked on the door of a stranger after an illegal rave in the Forest of Dean on Saturday and asked for a lift home at 6:30AM.
Gloucestershire Live reported that after the party, which was suspected to have around 300 attendees, two ravers woke up a sleeping resident of Ruspidge to ask him to call the police so they could get a lift home to South Wales.

After knocking on Sam Webb’s door, the pair told the resident that it was “the police’s duty of care to take them home.”
Webb reported that ravers looked “under the influence of something”, and claimed that they had both lost their phones and wallets during the rave just a few miles down the road.

First, I hear a bang outside - one of the lads tripped over a sign. Then I looked out the window, he was getting himself together,” said Webb.
He continued, “That’s when I saw his mate going to press the doorbell. I was thinking ‘what on earth do these boys want?”
The pair allegedly pleaded for the resident to call the police and ask to have them escorted home to Cwmbran, Wales, 50 miles away.

Webb reported that he could hear the music from the ongoing rave running all through the night on Saturday, just a short drive from the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. The police were informed of the rave during the night and proceeded to block off roads from around 11:30PM.
Despite this, a suspected 300 people headed to the party spot until the early hours of the morning. Police were still scouting the area on Sunday afternoon for any continuing revellers.

Webb managed to capture part of the amusing conversation between himself and the ravers on a security camera outside of his house. He said: “About ten seconds after the footage ends the police turned up and the boys tried to chase the car down. But they didn’t have the legs – it was so funny.”
