House Gospel Choir have released their debut album ‘RE//CHOIRED’.
Out now, ‘RE//CHOIRED’ is a spirited and feel-good celebration of house music and soundsystem culture.
Listening to the album all the way through, it’s a testament to the power and healing potential of collectivity in music.

‘RE//CHOIRED’ has features from house music heavyweights like Todd Terry and DJ Spen, Wookie, Grammy-nominated producer Alex Metric, Toddla T, and UK gospel musician Nicky Brown and multi-instrumentalist Troy Miller.
House Gospel Choir creative director and founder Natalie Maddix says of the album, ‘I’ve always liked that quote from Frankie Knuckles, “house music is for church people who’ve fallen from grace”. When I was growing up, my family was quite religious, and as all young people do, when I was growing up I had lots of questions about faith. Then I discovered raving! At first, they didn’t seem compatible, but I felt that a really good party experience is like being in a church — just being with people and feeling uplifted. I thought, I want more people to feel like this.’
