Glastonbury Festival allowed to increase capacity to 210,000

The 7000 new tickets would be for those taking public transport to Glastonbury

Glastonbury Festival is allowed to increase its capacity to 210,000 in 2020.

The revised capacity next year - approved by Mendip City Council - will be a 3.4 per cent increase from this year's attendance of 203,000.

Users of public transport to the festival will be those able to take up the 7000 extra tickets. However, Glasto has not yet confirmed if it will go ahead with the increase.

This year's Glastonbury saw Stormzy headline the Pyramid Stage, while The Chemical Brothers paid tribute to The Prodigy's Keith Flint.
