Glastonbury could move 100 miles away in 2019
Don't panic. It'll only be temporary
Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis has confirmed he's eyed up a site to move the festival to.
With the next fallow year at Worthy Farm taking place in 2018, the festival will make a move 100 miles away near the Midlands in 2019, according to Eavis.
Although he didn't specify where exactly the festival would be hosted, he told the BBC: "I'm arranging to move the show, but it would be a huge loss to Somerset if it went there forever."
Eavis added that a one-year break from Worthy Farm would happen every five years, reiterating that the event wouldn't be leaving Somerset for good.
"Most people are on side now and it’s a wonderful, wonderful boost for the whole of Somerset and beyond as well. I don’t want to lose it for ever, no way."
A move to Longleat in Wiltshire was originally mooted, but that fell through in September.
Radiohead are the only act confirmed to play in 2017 after a bear was drawn up on the site.
