Friction vs Ulterior Motive - 9/10

Easily the best track on the 'Friction vs' series of EPs so far, 'Curfew' is both unhurried tech seduction and another nifty old-skool homage: relaxed yet menacing, shimmery yet rollicking.

Lancing down over a muscular, funky groove wrenching away beneath, those ice-cold stabs are both deft and deadly. When they disappear, the techier elements seem embossed suddenly on the sonic canvas. Brilliant.
