First Kllo single from debut LP induces slow-building euphoria
Stream 'Virtue' from the 12-track release, due out in October
Melbourne duo Kllo have announced details of their debut album and released its huge first single.
'Backwater' takes its name from feelings of isolation on a recent world tour, but cousins Chloe Kaul and Simon Lam are sure to be launched well towards the global scene's forefront through the LP's release, which backs up last year's 'Well Worn' EP and its breakout tracks 'Bolide' and 'Walls to Build.'
The album's 12 songs were written partially on the road and developed back at Lam's bungalow, with first single 'Virtue' an emotion-laced and electronic-infused modern r'n'b track that builds slowly to induce a powerful state of euphoria.
Speaking of the single, the duo said: "It’s about not knowing what you’ve got till it’s gone, whether that be a part of yourself or somebody else. It’s the present moment of finally coming to that realisation.”
Check it out, along with Kllo's upcoming tour dates, below.
'Backwater' is out October 20 through Good Manners Records/Caroline Australia, Ghostly International and Different Recordings.
