Experimental party Goodness launches label arm, announces V/A compilation

With the full compilation landing next month, lead single 'Lilaei mp3' by Proc Fiskal is available now

Following seven years of throwing experimental-leaning parties across the UK, the now London-based crew Goodness has launched its eponymous label arm by announcing a V/A compilation.

Set for release on November 1, the first instalment turns to close affiliations of the party in order to provide a body of work that epitomises the Goodness night. Think leftfield club sounds spanning from gestural, textural ambient to intriguing IDM and delicate, percussive techno.

With the full edition yet to land, lead single 'Lilaei mp3' by Proc Fiskal is available now, offering a postmodern twist on nostalgic garage by marrying melodic elements with driving bass. Think ethereal listening room energy-meets-hypnotic warmup track.

“'Lilae mp3' is pretty slow for me," Proc Fiskal says on the track. "It's constructed around my girlfriend’s voice as the vocal synth, and was an attempt to do something slow and overly clean.”

"The party has travelled through many shapes since we started it at uni, but we reached what felt like a bit of an arrival last year after we found our feet again post covid," the Goodness crew adds. "Releasing tunes felt like the natural next step for us and we’re super happy to be doing this with close friends and family who have played the party before, or who we’ve known for a while.

"There’s such an insane amount of talent concentrated in the weirder and wonkier shadows of dance music in London at the moment and we’re really grateful to be part of this community, so this release feels like a really nice way to kick off these news beginnings for us."
