Essential: Lagaffe Tales delivers warm, jazzy house on ‘Tale of Tales: Chapter 02’ EP

Icelandic imprint Lagaffe Tales lines up its third vinyl release titled ‘Tale of Tales: Chapter 02’, with four artists supplying material focusing on jazz-infused house and deep, warm grooves.
Since embarking on the vinyl wave -having previously supplied music digitally since 2012- the label has enjoyed a boost in success, dropping two standout pressings in 2016. Now following EPs from David & Hjalti and Moff & Tarkin, the label presents a various artists release featuring COEO, Felix Leifur, Moony Me and Sune.
Whether it’s the classically smooth sax and piano melody of Leifur’s ‘Eitt’, the shimmering essence of COEO’s soaring ‘Clouds’, Moony Me’s swinging and intricate percussion on ‘Soul Mirage’ or Sune’s driving house jam dubbed ‘I’ll Be Right Back’, there’s a place on the dancefloor for the entire EP.
