Essential: Daphni's 'Hey Drum' takes you to a state of eyes-closed, euphoric bliss
The final teaser track from his upcoming FABRICLIVE mix
With his FABRICLIVE mix out later this month, Daphni, aka Caribou, has teased a brand-new single ahead of the release.
The tune, titled ‘Hey Drum’, comes as a follow-up to ‘Tin’ and ‘Face To Face’, and will serve as the last in the trio of singles released ahead of the 27-track mix.
As the name suggests, ‘Hey Drum’ digs deep into fresh percussive territory. With a heightened pulse running throughout, alongside a hypnotic vocal sample, the track builds up before bursting into a crescendo of melodic female sampling in the latter half. It's there you get an eyes-closed, hands-in-the-air euphoric moment of bliss, before crashing back down to the dancefloor with ease.
You can catch Daphni playing a five-hour set at the launch of ‘FABRICLIVE 93’ on July 21, alongside Mall Grab, Mark Ernestus, Ross From Friends and Willow.
