Eric Prydz drops the first DJ set on Apple’s Beats 1 radio
Swede drops first mix in a series for Apple’s new radio service
Eric Prydz has been announced as the first DJ to contribute to Apple's new One Mix sessions for their Beats 1 radio service.
Prydz has contributed a mix for the new service, which goes live July 3 at 11pm (PST), and feeds nicely into the first release in his trio of Pryda Friends retrospective EPs and his 6-week residency at Amnesia Ibiza, which starts July 23.
Spearheaded by former BBC Radio 1 presenter Zane Lowe, the Beats 1 radio project has gotten off to a solid start since launching on June 30. The first record played on the service was Brian Eno's seminal album 'Ambient 1: Music for Airports', and Lowe got his show rolling with some big tracks from Jamie xx, Hudson Mohawke and Skepta.
