Electronic Music Awards & Foundation unveils nominees and categories

The awards show will honor clubs and artists from around the world

Paul Oakenfold is leading the charge behind the inaugural edition of the Electronic Music Awards & Foundation show, which is set to air on Fox TV in the United States on April 23.

The awards show has released its seven award categories and the complementary nominees for each. Reflecting other music-related awards shows, EMAF will honor Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Radio Show of the Year, Festival of the Year, DJ of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Club of the Year.

Though the event will be hosted in Los Angeles, the show aims to have global reach, honoring clubs in Ibiza, London, Las Vegas, Singapore and finally, Los Angeles while the festival category honors Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Creamfields, Sonar and The BPM Festival.
