Eich to release debut EP, 'Red'
It's a heady mix of UK techno and Chicago House
Eich is set to share her debut EP, 'Red', on Tuesday (November 29).
The two-tracker is a journey through bass which explores avenues of UK techno and Chicago House music, and marks the DJ and producer's debut release on her own label, More Cowbell to reinforce her sonic vision for the forthcoming direction of her imprint.
"It feels right to have my first EP out on my own imprint to set the precedent for where I want the sound on More Cowbell to fit," Eich explains. "Heavily influenced from the early years when I first started going out to parties, around 2012, the EP is a blend of techno, bass and house, that sits on the darker end of the spectrum."

"The lead track 'Red' is minimal in approach; I really just let the 808’s do the talking here with a glitched out vocal to ride through. Whilst the second track ‘Untitled’ definitely takes more of an influence from house music, where the hi-hats lead the way. I think this EP is a representation of where I fit as a producer."
'Red' follows Eich's previous single release from mid-2022, 'Induction', on Dublin-based Woozy, packed with her signature bass and club-ready sonic identity.
She founded More Cowbell in 2019, intended as a platform for "all things percussive and bassy". 2022 sees it operating as an online community, club night and label where folk can gather and share their love for these sounds.
