DJ Tennis and Michael Gracioppo start ambient label Eraclea
A new imprint meant for "music outside of the club"
DJ Tennis and Michael Gracioppo came together over their shared love of post-rock and ambient music, officiating their passion for the sounds with their newly launched label called Eraclea.
Unlike Life & Death or their individual catalogues, the label will host tunes for "outside of the club", starting with a release in September from Tim Mislock. Mislock is a Brooklyn-based artist who will bring his "guitar-centric ambient" 'Now Is The Last Best Time' album to Eraclea as its debut release. "The name of the label is a dedication to someone special," Gracioppo told RA. "Feminine and divine, a light of inspiration. She was born in the late 19th century, in the hills of Cattolica Eraclea, Sicily."
