DJ Rashad's 'Afterlife' album is out now
A whole of host of Chicago producers feature
The DJ Rashad legacy lives on with a new album, out now and streaming on SoundCloud and Spotify.
'Afterlife', the first artist album on Teklife, includes collaborations with a host of Chicago's footwork squad, with DJ Spinn, DJ Earl, Traxman and DJ Taye all featuring.
Made up of 14 tracks, the posthumous LP is a "tribute to our friend and our inspiration," according to the Teklife crew, and is packed out with the kind of jittery samples and wavy synths used on his Hyperdub album, 'Double Cup'.
Since his death in 2014, he's also released an EP on Hyperdub and appeared on Jessy Lanza's 'You Never Show Your Love' remix package.
A percentage of 'Afterlife' album profits will go to Rashad's family. Head here to buy it on vinyl, CD and digitally and stream it below.
