DJ EZ is playing another 24-hour charity DJ live stream

The marathon set from DJ EZ will take place this Saturday in aid of MIND

DJ EZ has announced he is helming another marathon charity DJ stream, this time in partnership with Defected. The 24-hour set will be raising money for mental health charity MIND.

The UK garage legend will play his first track at 6pm GMT on January 23, and roll through to 6pm GMT the following day.

Speaking about the stream DJ EZ said: “I’m really excited to be partnering up with Defected to support a cause close to all of our hearts at a time when it’s needed the most. As with my previous 24-hour live sets, I hope this one lifts spirits far and wide and spreads positivity to as many people as possible”

DJ EZ last hosted a 24-hour live DJ stream in March 2020 during the UK’s first nationwide lockdown in aid of MyKindDeed, with millions of people tuning in across the duration.

At the time he said: “This is a challenging time for us all with so much uncertainty right now so this is my support to bring hope to a bleak time and to hopefully shine the light on how kindness matters above all else,”

His follow-up marathon set takes place with the UK in its third national lockdown.

Defected’s Managing Director Wez Saunders said: “DJ EZ is widely regarded as one of the best DJ’s around, and raising awareness and money for Mind right now seems more relevant than ever. A worthy DJ for a worthy cause, at a time that so many people need a chink of light through the darkness, DJ EZ will certainly bring that.”

DJ EZ also donated a percentage of the fees he received for playing gigs in Australia in February last year to the Australian Red Cross and the New South Wales Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service (WIRES), that help with areas of the country damaged by wildfires.
