Deadmau5 remixes Jay-Z and Beastie Boys
A different side of the Canadian producer's catalogue
After astutely stating that he "missed making hip hop," Deadmau5 went ahead and fulfilled his desire to produce in a realm different than his usual catalogue.
Tackling two different artists from the hip hop zone, the Canadian producer shared two aptly titled remixes - 'Fuck You Too' and 'The Carp is Mine' - of the Beastie Boys' 'Hey Fuck You' and Jay-Z's 'The City is Mine'.
Self-describing his hip hop sound as 'industrial', Deadmau5 uploaded his two unofficial remixes through SoundCloud, so there's no guarantee of the longevity of his unexpected hip hop reworks. Hear 'Fuck You Too' and 'The Carp is Mine' below while they last.
