David Guetta is UEFA's man of EURO 2016

The Frenchman will curate the music for the football tournament in France next year

Expect to hear a load of dance music at the UEFA European Championships in France next year - David Guetta's producing the music.

UEFA boss Michel Platini doesn't look like the kind of guy who enjoys momentous drops and euphoric hands-in-the-air moments, but then we've all got guilty pleasures, haven't we?

As well as producing the footy tournament's official theme tune and curating the stadia audio, the Frenchman will also perform at the Stade de France opening ceremony on June 10, 2016. Good job he's used to playing in front of tens of thousands, then.

According to the man himself, the project's been in development for a while and he plans to make this EUROs one to remember.

"It is incredibly exciting not only to be part of this huge football tournament in my home country, but to be working with UEFA on a number of activities for the fans that we have been developing together over the last 12 months.

"Music and football go hand in hand when it comes to celebration and enjoyment and I want to help to make this EURO the biggest and most memorable yet. We want the fans to be at the very heart of everything that we do."
