Dave Clarke refuses to perform in the US so long as Donald Trump is President
It's going to be a long four years for fans
The recent inauguration of President Trump has rocked the whole world, including techno maverick Dave Clarke, who has stated that he won't be traveling to the US to perform so long as he remains President.
In his statement posted on Facebook, he disclaims that politics aren't the sole reason as he's had some "bad experiences" in the US due to an unprofessional agent, but played a large part into his decision.
"I simply cannot consider coming to the US professionally when there is a Misogonyst [sic] Narcissist Racist President in office, and to be fair maybe my work permit would not be renewed due to his 'Hire American' policy," Clarke states, confirming that he hasn't renewed his US visa in order to work and travel in the country.
Bookending his statement with affirmations that he still respects the influence of American music and some culture, he also made sure to remind any unlucky Stateside fans that his decision isn't meant to be a punishment, rather just a "decision based on his intuition".
