Clean Bandit robbed of €40,000 worth of equipment in Ibiza

The trio were on the White Isle to shoot a music video with David Guetta when they were burgled

UK trio Clean Bandit were robbed of €40,000 worth of equipment and cash while working in Ibiza last weekend, Olive Press reports.

The group were visiting the White Isle to shoot a music video alongside David Guetta and Anne-Marie for their latest joint single ‘Cry Baby’ when the robbery took place.

In an interview with The Sun, Clean Bandit vocalist Grace Chatto explained that the group recorded the music video with David Guetta in the studio, and then stayed at a friend's house.

“Jack and Luke flew back to London because they had to edit the video, so luckily the footage was safe,” she explained. “But I was supposed to bring back the lenses.”

Grace said that they then went out for dinner, and after returning, someone had “crowbarred the window and taken the lenses and laptops and cash.”

She added that they were all “quite scared sleeping there that night”, but was thankful that the footage was safe because that would have been "irreplaceable”.

The music video was entirely shot, produced, directed, and edited by the trio, and features both David Guetta and Anne-Marie. They hope they can claim back the money lost through insurance.

In June, Yorkshire DJ Franky Wah told fans that his entire music collection including new unfinished tracks, his laptop, and other “irreplaceable items” had been stolen in Ibiza.

The incident allegedly took place while Wah was eating at a restaurant in Jesús, a coastal village in northern Ibiza. He explained that his car was broken into, and all of his belongings were taken.

He urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of his belongings to reach out, offering a reward for their return.
