Franky Wah offers reward for return of music collection after being robbed in Ibiza

Yorkshire DJ Franky Wah is offering a reward for the return of his music collection after being robbed in Ibiza.

In a video shared on social media last week (June 12), Wah explained that his entire music collection including new unfinished tracks, his laptop, and other “irreplaceable items” had been stolen.

The incident allegedly took place while Wah was eating at a restaurant in Jesús, a coastal village in northern Ibiza. He explained that his car was broken into, and all of his belongings were taken.

"Everything's been taken," he said in a now-deleted video. “There's a reward for anyone that can give me any information about who it might be and where that might be.”

In a follow-up update on June 13, Wah said that while none of his belongings have been recovered yet, he has “a good idea where they are”.

“I just want my life’s work back,” he said. "Of course, I have a lot of my music backed up, but there are also lots of projects and ideas that aren’t. Hours, weeks, months, years of work which I’ll have to work relentlessly now to recover in time for my shows this weekend.”

Although no further updates have been made since then, Wah has thanked friends and fans for the “outpouring of support” over the past week.

“The outpouring of messages and willingness to help has been overwhelming and really just shows how much of a great community we’ve got,” he said.

Franky Wah is currently at the helm of a three-week SHÈN residency at Ibiza’s Club Chinois for a second year running. He’s due to be joined by the likes of Ida Engberg, Guy J, and Patrice Bäumel over the coming weeks.
