Central Station Records celebrates 40 years with book

Flip through the label's journey through disco, hip-hop, house and hardcore

Central Station Records is celebrating 40 years with a book and three-CD release.

Based on interviews with more than 50 DJs and founders Giuseppe (Jo) Palumbo and Morgan Williams, 'Music Wars,' written by Rell Hannah, covers the story of the label across its journey from small Melbourne shop to international dance brand evolving from disco to hip-hop, house and hardcore.

Anecdotes from artists including Mark Dynamix and John Course feature in the book, while the CD release features 60-plus tracks from everyone from Eric B. & Rakim, to Grace Jones, Hocus Pocus and Fragma.
